| Day 01 :- |

Arrive Delhi
You arrive in Delhi, the capital city of India. After
completing formalities with customs and im migration, you
will be received by our representative with Traditional
Indian Welcome (with garlands).
Delhi is the capital of India since old times. Delhi's
history dates back to the first millenium BC, when it
was known as Indraprastha. The Tomar Rajputs built Lal
Kot, the core of the first of Delhi's seven cities. It
is the epicenter of the nation's politics, economy and
culture. History is alive and throbbing in Delhi, the
capital of India.
Afterwards transfer to your hotel for the overnight
stay.

|
In Delhi
Breakfast in the hotel. This morning visit DCM SHRIRAM
HINDON RIVER MILL.
Visit Indian Institute of Technology to meet the
Teaching faculty and students of textile division
followed by Tea.
Afternoon meeting with INDIAN COTTON MILLS FEDERATION.
Evening free at leisure.
Overnight at hotel.

| Day 03 :- |
|
In Delhi
Breakfast in the hotel. This morning depart for Bhiwani
118 Kms (one way) .Visit the technological Institute of
Textiles which is a pioneer Institution running B. TECH.
degree course in textile technology and textile
chemistry. It is also
conducting Post graduate teaching
/research in Textile Technology upto doctoral level. It
is a unique Institute of tits kind as it has attached to
it a large textile factory for the training of students
under actual Mill working conditions. The institute has
highly qualified faculty in the areas of textile
technology, Processing, computer application as well as
persons from manufacturing line who posses wide & mature
industrial experience. The institute embodies a Novel
and unique concept of combining class - rooms’
instructions with the laboratory and mill training under
one roof. Lunch at Institute and interacting on with
students & Professors.
Return to Delhi for overnight stay.

| Day 04 :- |
|
Delhi – Amritsar
Breakfast in the hotel. This morning embark on the
sightseeing trip of Old and New Delhi. In Ol d Delhi
visit Red Fort, Jama Masjid drive past Chandni Chowk and
visit Raj Ghat - the cremation sight of Mahatma Gandhi.
In New Delhi visit Qutub Minar - 234 feet high tower,
nearby stands the Iron Pillar, the tomb of Mughal
emperor Humayun, the modern Birla Temple. Drive past
India Gate (war Memorial), President’s House, which was
once the Victory Palace, Parliament House and
Secretarial buildings.
Later in the evening transfer to Railway Station to
board train Shatabdi Express for Amritsar.
Depart Delhi at 1620 hrs Arrive Amritsar at 2020 hrs. On
arrival at Amritsar railway station received and
assisted in the transfer to the hotel.

|
In Amritsar
Breakfast in the hotel.
This morning embark on the
sightseeing trip of the city where you would visit.
Golden Temple - the sacred Sikh Sanctuary, Marbled,
Bronzed and covered with Gold Leaf wherein the Guru
Grant Sahib the Bible of Sikhs is placed reverently.
Also see the Community Kitchen where 10,000 pilgrims are
fed daily on voluntary and complementary basis, the
historic Jallianwala Bagh where Gen. Dyer’s bullets
killed scores of innocent Indians and then the beautiful
Ram Bagh Gardens.
Later visit OCR TEXTILE MILLS. Visit ESSMAA and its two
processing units.
Rest of the day free.

Amritsar – Ludhiana By Road
Breakfast in the hotel. This morning depart for Ludhiana.
On arrival check in to the hotel. Later visit OSWAL
SPINNING AND WEAVING LIMITED.
Return to the hotel in the evening. Overnight at hotel.

Breakfast in the hotel. This morning visit VARDHMAN
SPINNING MILLS - one of the finest mills and top of the
rung in India .
Afternoon free at leisure. Overnight at hotel.

|
Ludhiana – Delhi ( Train ) Delhi
– Ahemdabad ( Flight )
This morning assisted in the transfer to the railway
station to board the Shatabdi Express for Delhi.
Depart Ludhiana at 0705 hrs. Arrive Delhi at 1050 hrs.
Upon arrival in Delhi received and assisted in the
transfer to Domestic airport to board the flight for
Ahmedabad. On arrival received and assisted in the
transfer to the hotel. Upon arrival check in to the
hotel.

In Ahmedabad

Breakfast in the hotel. This morning visit CALICO
TEXTILE MUSEUM, one of the best of its kind anywhere in
the world. A fascinating collection of antique textiles
displayed and also provide a fair idea of textile. Visit
the local textile market to see the block printing, Tye
and Dye, Pichwari and other forms of textile.
Visit SELF EMPLOYED WOMEN ASSOCIATION to meet crafts
women working at textile outlet. Return to hotel.

|
In Ahmedabad
Breakfast in the hotel.. This morning depart for a full
day excursion to PATAN & PETHAPUR. At Patan see the
world famous PATOLA sarees weaving, one of the finest
hand woven textile, also to see weaving of Mashru. At
PETHAPUR see the manufacturing of wooden block used in
block printing.
Return to hotel at Ahemdabad. Overnight at hotel.

Ahmedabad – Mumbai ( Flight )
This morning visit SOMA TEXTILE & INDUSTRIES LTD.
Thereafter visit ARVIND MILLS. Evening transfer to
airport to board flight for Mumbai.
Depart Ahemdabad at 1920 hrs by IC – 104 Arrive Mumbai
at 2020 hrs
Meeting and assistance on arrival and transfer to hotel.
Overnight at hotel.

In Mumbai
Breakfast at the hotel. This morning excursion to
Elephanta caves by Motor launch. 09 Kms, from Mumbai
lies this Island containing fine cluster of 6th-8th
century rock-cut caves. They were carved during the
golden age of Guptas and inspired by the worship of Lord
Shiva. The Sculpture are beautifully executed and the
most outstanding of these is the Maheshmurthy or
Trimurthi, a 5 metre with three headed is the bust hewn
cut from a single rock, representing the three aspects
of Shiva, viz the creator, the preserver and the
Destroyer. Return to hotel.
Afternoon visit RAYMOND MILLS, THANE.

Textiles Research Association. Visit Mafatlal Textile
Factory (Tentative). Return to hotel.

Mumbai - Coimbatore ( Flight )
Breakfast at the hotel. This morning assisted in your
transfer to the domestic airport to board the flight for
Coimbatore. Upon arrival you are received and assisted
in the transfer to the hotel. Later visit the HOUSE OF
LAKSHMI MILLS GROUP which consist of Textile Mills,
Engineering works, Producing Spindles and Textile
machinery, a factory for card Clothing and a rayon
Factory.

In Coimbatore
This morning visit SOUTH INDIA TEXTILE RESEARCH
ASSOCIATION (SITRA), which conducts researches in
problems of textile industry, advising Mills on new
processes and better utilization of machines.
Afternoon visit the LOCAL TEXTILE MARKET.
Return to the hotel.
Overnight at hotel.

| Day 16 :- |
|
In Coimbatore
This morning depart for Tripur (51 kms), by surface.
Tripur is the home of cotton. there are a number of
GINNING FACTORIES. This town on the Noyyal river is to
cotton hosiery what Ludhiana in Punjab is to woolens.
Its under shirts and underwear’s enjoys a great
reputation. There are nearly 2000 units in the town and
its suburbs and their products enjoy a vast market
throughout India, South East Asia and South Africa.
Tripur is also the headquarters of ALL INDIA VILLAGE
INDUSTRIES ASSOCIATION and all khadi work in Tamil Nadu.
The group shall have a meeting with this association,
besides visiting other factories. Return to Coimbatore.

In Coimbatore
Morning depart for Salem by surface (158 kms one way).
Salem’s traditional industry is handloom. Arrive and
visit THIAGARAJA POLYTECHNIC and have an informal
interaction with the students. Also visit the main
weaving centres GUGAI AND AMMA PETTAI. Afternoon visit
SURUMANGLAM known for woolen druggets which are exported
to U.S.A. Canada and Newzealand. Return to Coimbatore.

Coimbatore – Madurai
Breakfast in the hotel. This morning depart for Madurai.
Upon arrival check in to the hotel.
Afternoon : Visit Meenakshi Temple, Teppakkulam and

Return to the hotel after the sightseeing. Overnight at

Madurai – Chennai ( Train )
Breakfast in the hotel. This morning visit SHREE
MEENAKSHI TEXTILE LIMITED at paravai owned by our Dalmia
Group. Visit MADURAI COATS which covers all types from
CHENNAI Handloom Yarn to textile Yarn; coarse drills and
sophisticated blended fabrics . This evening assisted in
the transfer to the railway station to board the
overnight train for Chennai.
Overnight on board the Ac Sleepper Class.

In Chennai

This morning arrive at Chennai station and received at
the station and assisted in the transfer to the Hotel.
Chennai is referred to as the DETROIT of South India.
Among the Textile Mills, Buckingham of Karnatics (BINNYS)
is one of the most important textile mill. Visit BINNY’S
Textile Mills.

In Chennai
Breakfast at the hotel. This morning embark form the
hotel for the full day excursion to Mahabalipuram and
Kanchipuram.
This morning you drive along palm fringed roads to the
golden city of Kanchipuram, one of India’s oldest towns.
Also one of the India’s most sacred spots, Kanchipuram
is filled with medieval temples. Soaring towers covered
with an astonishing profusion of sculpted images,
typically representative of South India architecture,
are everywhere. You will
visit four of the most
significant temples, all built between the 7th & 8th
centuries. The very term Kanchipuram Silk is a dazzling
array of colors often shot with threads of gold. Brides
from all over India travel here to shop for bridal
saris. Behind practically every door is a master weaver
at work carrying on a tradition and a way of life that
has hardly changed at all over the centuries. Before you
leave visit one of the silk weaving factories.
Proceed to Mahabalipuram- an ancient coastal town not
far from Chennai. Against the backdrop of a blue ocean
and forthing waves are dotted beautifully carved stone
images, rock cut temples and glorious friezes - all
works of medieval kings. Particularly memorable are the
Five Rathas a stunning group of monolithic monuments and
the Penanace of Bagirath a huge fresco carved into a
ridge of rock. You will have sometime to enjoy the white
sandy beaches - some of the finest in India. Look out
for the numerous stone masons at work here chipping and
carving likenesses of the images on these ancient
complexes. Visit Silk factory and return to Chennai.

morning city tour visiting The Fort Museum, St. Mary’s
Church, San Thome Cathedral, the Mylapore Temple, local
